THE VICEROY

A steering wheel is a gateway between you and your vehicle, it's a critical piece that takes your input and transfers it to the machine. The Viceroy wheel, with its unique design and robust craftsmanship, not only stands in as that gateway but will also speak to you. It speaks, not in language but with emotion and feeling. It's all of the engineers of your vintage automobile, the designers, the builders, the craftsmen, and of course the road.

Penned by Glen Cordle as a design experiment, it eventually caught the eye of Sung Kang (Sung's Garage, the Fast & Furious, Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi) who helped bring it to life exclusively for Tactico. The Viceroy - Sungs Garage edition is limited to 59 serialized steering wheels, each one with its unique number and Glen's signature depicted on the back.

When this project started we chose to pair it with the Viceroy 914 resto-mod project that I am working on with Sung Kang. I’m happy to say that the Viceroy 914 will still happen, but the status of the project is still under development.

NOTABLE FEATURES INCLUDE:

• 380mm in diameter, this is the factory size of the Porsche Carrera RS 2.7, the Porsche 914, and other vintage makes. This diameter was chosen because a clear view of the gauges was the priority. Beyond that, a full-size wheel with the full amount of leverage intended by the designers makes a car just feel right.

• Laminated wood back gives warmth and life, it gives it a unique look especially when viewed from a slight angle, and a bit of heft in all the right places.

• The full-perimeter thumb groove provides a subtle reminder of where to place your thumbs to keep them out of harm's way. Subtle enough to not be intrusive.

• Special packaging in wood with foam inserts to protect your wheel and can be repurposed to store other precious items.

• Special edition metal horn button with the Viceroy logo, plated in black.

• The Sungs Garage launch edition will be numbered and limited to 59 wheels.
